Exporting AOL Address Book to WebMail

  1. Login to AOL Webmail at http://webmail.aol.com/
  2. Click on Addresses tab on bottom left
  3. Highlight contacts on right
  4. Go to Edit-Copy
  5. Go to Microsoft Word and start a new document
  6. Go to Edit-Paste
  7. Change the entries so they are in the following format

    "First Name","Last Name","E-mail Address"
    Anthony,Adams,anthony@adams.com
    John,Test,john@test.com
    Isaiah,Thomas,ithomas@yahoo.com

  8. Go to File-Save As. Change the "Save as Type" to Plain Text (*.txt) and save the file in your "My Documents" folder
  9. Close Microsoft Word and open up your web browser
  10. Login to HAL Systems webmail
  11. Click Address in the upper right
  12. Click the Import an Address Book button on the right
  13. For File to Import, click Browse and select the text file to import that you saved above
  14. For File Type, select Outlook
  15. For Address Book to Import To, enter a name for the new address book
  16. Click Do Import
