Configuring Netscape 7 to use AOL Mail

  1. Click on the Netscape Mail button in the lower left hand corner of the Netscape window.
  2. Go to the Edit menu and select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings".
  3. Click on the "Add Account" button.
  4. Select AOL account and click Next.
  5. Type in the user's name and their AOL screen name and click Next.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. If you want to change the account settings, click on the "AOL Mail" account in the left hand pane of the "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" window.
  8. Click OK when you are done.

AOL Mail is tied to AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), so some things may work differently than expected (For instance, if you change your AOL password, it doesn't change your AOL Mail password. Changing your AIM password changes your AOL Mail password.)
