The images from the site still need to be sized down. The average dial up Internet connection is running at 33.6 Kbits per second. (K stands for kilo which is a 1,000) We try to keep the page to about 35 Kbytes total, which works out to 33.6 Kbps = 33,600 bits per second = 4,200 bytes per second. 35,000 bytes / 4,200 bytes per sec = a little over 8 seconds to load.
